The ASM 13215 (Atemschutz-Gesichtsmaske 13215) was a respirator produced in Leipzig, East Germany (DDR) by VEB kombinat Medizin-, Labor- und Wägetechnik Leipzig (MLW). Type 13215 was produced in size 2 (medium) with a 40mm filter port and a panoramic visor made from compound glass. The model numbers for the same mask (40mm port with compound glass visor) in small and large were 13115 (size 1 (large)) & 13315 (size 3 (small)). The only difference in the model number between the 3 sizes is the third number which identifies the size (13(1)15, 13(2)15 & 13(3)15). The same mask was available with a plastic visor with the model numbers 13114, 13214 & 13314.
