The Oxylog is a time-cycled constant-volume pneumatic emergency ventilator that was designed and manufactured by Dräger. It was first introduced in 1976. The Oxylog provides artificial ventilation without the need for electricity, making the transportation of ventilated patients easier. The Oxylog allows the user to easily control the breathing frequency and volume of the patient using two rotary knobs. It was succeeded by the Oxylog 1000 in 1997. The example pictured was still in use in the 2000's with the next test of the device being due in November 2008.
