United Kingdom Animal Gas Masks and NBC Protection

Type: Unknown Horse Gas Mask
Made by: ???
Date: 1940's
Filter: Fixed
Used by: Horse

The mask would be placed over the top jaw of the horse so the nostrils were inside the mask, the horse's bottom jaw would remain on the outside of the mask so the bit on the bridle could still be inserted into the mouth of the horse. The mask would be strapped onto the bridle (I am uncertain if a special bridle had to be used). "Eyeshields, Anti-Gas, Horse, Mark I." would be attached to protect the horse's eyes from whatever chemical agent was used.
